Bathroom remodeling in Woodward and northwest Oklahoma starts with what frustrates you about the room each day. Maybe the vanity is dated and short on storage. Maybe the light over the mirror leaves the room dim, or the shower is hard to use. We plan the new bathroom around those daily problems.
Mulberry Creek Construction is based in Woodward and remodels bathrooms across northwest and western Oklahoma and the Oklahoma City metro. Our work covers the plumbing, electrical, tile, flooring and paint in the room. You deal with one contractor for the whole job. A shower-only project runs through our shower remodeling service.
Tell us about the room or space you want to change and where it is. We look at the job and put a free estimate in writing.
A full bathroom remodel replaces the parts of the room that no longer work for you. Some remodels keep the layout and swap out the vanity, tile, floor and lighting. Others move fixtures around to make better use of a small space.
The plumbing and electrical changes happen while the walls and floor are open. That is the time to move a drain or add an outlet near the vanity. Any inspection the city requires takes place before the walls close up. Then the finish work begins.
A new layout also has to fit Oklahoma's residential code. The code puts a toilet's center at least 15 inches from a side wall or a vanity. It also calls for at least 21 inches of clear space in front of the toilet. A state amendment lets a vanity countertop reach up to 1.5 inches into the toilet's floor space.
A bathroom renovation packs several trades into one small room. Plumbing, wiring, tile and paint all share a few square feet. Hire each trade on your own, and you run every schedule. When something goes wrong, each one can point to the others.
Mulberry Creek Construction takes on every trade in the bathroom and runs the whole schedule. You keep one point of contact until the room is done. We are responsible for every part of the work.
Bathrooms are one piece of the work we do as a Woodward remodeling contractor. When the bathroom is one room in a bigger plan, it can be part of a whole-home remodel.
Before you plan, keep a list of what frustrates you about the room each day. Note where clutter piles up and where the light falls short. That list is a useful place to start.
The first step is a talk about what you want to change in the bathroom. Next we look at the room, in Woodward or anywhere in our service area, and write up a free estimate. Then we get to work.
If stepping over the tub edge is getting harder for someone at home, plan for it now. Blocking for grab bars is easiest to add while the walls are open. Our accessibility remodeling work includes grab bars and wider doorways.
